Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when you use Dhatas Downloader.

What we process

When you paste a URL, that URL is sent to the source platform (e.g. YouTube, a webpage) in order to fetch the video, audio or image you requested — the same way your browser would if you visited the link directly. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect names, emails, or payment details.

Basic, first-party analytics

We keep a simple visit log — the page path, timestamp, browser user-agent, and referrer — to understand which tools people use and how much traffic the site gets. We do not store your raw IP address: it's passed through a one-way hash before being saved, so we can roughly estimate unique visitors without being able to identify or track you individually. There are no cookies, no third-party analytics scripts, and no advertising trackers. No data is sold or shared with advertisers.

Donations and support requests

If you choose to report a donation or submit a support/bug request, we store what you voluntarily provide (e.g. name, email, message, or a UPI reference number) so we can review it or reply if you asked us to. This is optional — using the downloader tools themselves never requires it. Donation reports are self-submitted and are not verified against any payment processor, since payments happen entirely inside your own UPI app.

Temporary file storage

Files are downloaded to a temporary folder on the server just long enough to be streamed back to your browser as a download. They are deleted immediately afterward — nothing you download is retained, archived, or made available to anyone else.

Self-hosted tool

Dhatas Downloader is designed to run locally or on infrastructure controlled by its operator. If you are running your own instance, you are the data controller for any processing that happens on your machine — this policy describes the tool's default behavior, not the practices of any specific deployment.

Third-party platforms

Any URL you submit is sent directly to its source (e.g. YouTube's or a website's own servers) to retrieve the content. That platform's own privacy policy governs how it handles the request on its end — we encourage you to review it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the tool after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
